About John Cowley

John Cowley is a science writer, author, and education consultant with more than forty years of successful experience in education. Throughout his career, he has served as a teacher, Head of Science, lecturer, and college principal, building extensive expertise in science education, leadership, and academic development. Today, he combines this wealth of experience with a passion for communicating complex ideas in ways that are accessible, engaging, and relevant to modern audiences. His work reflects a lifelong commitment to inspiring curiosity.

As a published author, John has written five popular science books released by Austin Macauley in 2025 and 2026. His work explores scientific concepts and contemporary issues, helping readers better understand the world around them. He also regularly shares insights and commentary through his LinkedIn blog, where he writes about topics including Artificial Intelligence, Particle Physics, Education, and Social Coherence. By blending expertise with creativity, John makes complex subjects approachable for diverse audiences.

Beyond writing and consultancy, John supports authors with original book cover artwork.

John holds a Master of Education (MEd) from Queensland University of Technology, awarded in 1997, reflecting his strong foundation in academic leadership and pedagogy.

He later completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), initially registered at Ballarat University in Victoria and finalized at Calamus International University in 2002. These achievements highlight his dedication to advancing knowledge, lifelong learning, and his commitment to excellence in both science and education worldwide.
